As part of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia, established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of December 25, 2021, and the Russian Healthcare Week, the Interdisciplinary Forum “Medicina Molodaya” took place at the Expocentre Fairgrounds.
The event was organized by the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development and JSC Expocentre, with scientific partnership from the I.M. Welcoming addresses were delivered by Deputy Chair of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Galina Karelova, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy Inna Svyatenko, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova, and Rector of Sechenov University Petr Glybochko. Insights and guidance were shared by representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, including Chief Visiting Specialist of the Russian Ministry of Health Oxana Drapkina and General Director of the Center for Healthcare Quality Assessment and Control of the Russian Ministry of Health Vitaly Omelyanovskiy.
During the Forum, organizers took the novel step of going beyond standard Q&A sessions by launching two large-scale discussion platforms. Supported by active participation from chief visiting specialists of the Russian Ministry of Health, a specialized biomedical module titled “Polypeptide Therapy: New Horizons for Russia” was organized, whose online sessions drew wide acclaim from the medical community.
A total of 1,243 participants from over 100 cities and localities across most regions of Russia followed discussions on the outcomes of polypeptide therapy in clinical medicine. Forum proceedings offer valuable clinical insights for practicing physicians and researchers across diverse disciplines.
