International Activities

The V.P. Filatov International Foundation for the Development of Biomedical Technologies actively conducts international activities aimed at integrating Russian innovations into the global scientific community and introducing leading international practices into Russian healthcare.

Partnership with Japan

On October 15, 2021, strategic partnership agreements were signed between the V.P. Filatov Foundation and the Japan Society of Clinical Placental Medicine (JSCPM), as well as the Japan Society of Anti-Aging Medicine. Joint activities include the implementation of educational and training programs in modern biomedical technologies and anti-aging medicine, scientific and expert exchange on clinical methods of biomedical technology application, and the development and popularization of active longevity programs. Direct cooperation has been established with the Anti-Aging Medical Research Center at Doshisha University (Kyoto, Japan), serving as a foundation for joint research initiatives and professional internships for Russian medical specialists.

Cooperation with European Partners

In 2019, the Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishing partnership relations with the International Association of Aging Research (France). The concept of this collaboration involves establishing a scientific and practical biomedical technology park. Participants strive to ensure sustainable development, enhance the role of biomedicine in clinical healthcare, and strengthen social responsibility in its application.

Collaboration with Universities and Research Centers

The Foundation actively broadens its academic network, partnering with leading international medical universities and research institutes across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This cooperation encompasses joint scientific symposia, faculty and young researcher exchange programs, and the joint development of interdisciplinary educational modules in biomedicine and gerontology.

Formation of International Research Teams

A key vector of the Foundation’s international work is creating multinational project teams. To resolve complex challenges at the interface of biology, medicine, and exact sciences, temporary and permanent working groups comprising Russian and international experts are established. This collaborative approach unites specialized competencies, accelerates technological transfer, and elevates the quality of clinical trials.

Participation in International Events and Representation

The Foundation is an active participant in all landmark biomedical technology events organized by partner institutions. The President of the V.P. Filatov Foundation, Ekaterina Alexandrovna Dibrova, is a member of the Japan Society of Clinical Placental Medicine (JSCPM) and a member of the Business Center “CIS + World”, whose mission is fostering continuous dialogue between academic circles and private enterprises in health-improvement initiatives. Leadership participation in international professional associations solidifies the Foundation’s reputation and opens new horizons for cross-cultural scientific cooperation.
