All-Russian Summer Gathering “RUSSIA – LAND OF SCIENTISTS. MEDICINE OF THE YOUTH”

The All-Russian Summer Gathering “RUSSIA – LAND OF SCIENTISTS. MEDICINE OF THE YOUTH” is a large-scale event designed to unite talented young people engaged in research and development in healthcare. The event is hosted by the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, using a grant provided by the Presidential Grants Foundation.

The project is aimed at supporting young scientists and fostering promising innovative solutions in domestic healthcare.

In 2026, 42 authors who scored the highest points following the preliminary selection stage took part in the All-Russian Summer Gathering. All of them were invited to Moscow from June 22 to 25, 2026, with travel and accommodation expenses fully covered by the Presidential Grants Foundation.

The program of the gathering featured a rich lineup: tours of industrial facilities and the city, an international session, plenary meetings, symposiums, a business simulation game, and a BIOMEDICAL QUIZ. The culminating event was a ceremonial wrap-up session honoring winners and participants. Thus, the four-day event combined sightseeing, educational, and competitive components, offering young researchers an opportunity not only to present their projects, but also to network with experts, visit innovative sites, and explore Moscow’s cultural landmarks.

In 2026, an extensive three-day program was prepared for representatives of 16 Russian universities and 9 higher education institutions from partner foreign nations, which included:

• Signing of a cooperation agreement between the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development and Xi’an Medical University.
• On May 22, within the framework of the International Conference on Industry, Education, Research and Application Cooperation “Silk Road 2026” and the Conference on Educational Cooperation and Exchanges, a cooperation agreement was signed between the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development and Xi’an Medical University.
• Currently, Russia and China are moving in the same direction in healthcare and are forming a common demand for young researchers capable of guiding an idea from the laboratory through clinical practice to the specific patient.
• The agreement establishes a working framework for joint steps in international cooperation, scientific and educational activities, and primarily in the formation of international research teams.

All participants of the All-Russian Summer Gathering receive 2 bonus points when submitting their research works to the Young Scientists Contest within the International Scientific School “MEDICINE OF THE YOUTH”. Without exception, all session participants receive certificates of participation, and final results are published on the organizers’ official websites.
