Participants of the Gathering “RUSSIA – LAND OF SCIENTISTS. MEDICINE OF THE YOUTH” with International Participation Arrive in Moscow
The 2026 Gathering is a landmark milestone for the V.P. Filatov Foundation, which over 6 years of work has elevated the project supporting developers of medical solutions from a nationwide to an international level.
The All-Russian Summer Gathering “RUSSIA-LAND OF SCIENTISTS. MEDICINE OF THE YOUTH” brings together 40 young researchers who previously defended their scientific projects during pitch sessions in Russian and international regions.
An eventful three-day program awaits representatives of 16 Russian universities and 9 higher education institutions from partner foreign nations. It includes a visit to a major pharmaceutical manufacturing plant; an international session exchanging best clinical practices across diverse medical traditions; project presentations on the sidelines of the PREVENTMED forum; interactive formats: a business simulation game and a biomedical quiz, among others.
One of the participants, Madhan Jeyaraman, orthopedic surgeon and lecturer in regenerative medicine at Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (India), expressed confidence that communication among young scientists will continue well after the Gathering:
– My work focuses on scientific research that lays the groundwork for the science of tomorrow — the kind that will go down in history. Even when we are gone, scientific research lives on. What we develop today will grow into a flourishing tree tomorrow. That is precisely why I eagerly look forward to cross-border projects with Russia and other countries. We came here to build a community of like-minded professionals moving forward together!
Sofya Dolmatova, a physiologist from Kemerovo State Medical University, noted that she is participating in the Gathering for the second time. The knowledge gained and interactions with the Foundation team and colleagues over the past year have significantly propelled her project toward realization, while also providing lasting inspiration.
Yaroslav Mironovich, a dentist from Belarusian State Medical University, arrived at the Gathering with high expectations as well.
– It is remarkable that scientific schools representing not just different countries, but essentially different continents, are gathered here. This provides an opportunity to engage with colleagues, understand their perspectives on diverse issues, and look at them from new angles, — said Yaroslav Mironovich.
The team of the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development chose VDNKh as the gathering place for young medical scientists — a prominent and symbolic venue. Much like the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy, the “MEDICINE OF THE YOUTH” project draws diverse individuals united by the ideals of serving society into its orbit.
The welcome day concluded with a screening of the televised version of the updated biographical drama dedicated to Academician Vladimir Filatov. The title of the production reflects Filatov’s guiding motto — “Every Person Must See the Sun” — with the screenplay drawn from personal letters and diaries of the scientist.
The All-Russian Summer Gathering with international participation is held with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council, the Presidential Grants Foundation, and Rossotrudnichestvo. The international session during the Gathering will be held in partnership with the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation.
