“MEDICINA MOLODAYA” International Scientific School Invites Young Scientists to Apply for Annual Competition
This year, the competition is held in an international format for the first time: young researchers from China, India, and CIS countries are invited to participate. Applications close on October 31.
The “MEDICINA MOLODAYA” International Scientific School is a flagship project of the Decade of Science and Technology (Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 25, 2022, No. 231), organized by the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development. The competition is supported by the Federation Council, the Ministry of Health of Russia, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, and the Presidential Grants Foundation. Scientific partnership is provided by Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and the Medical Research and Educational Center of MSU.
What’s New in the 2026 Season
• International Format. For the first time, young researchers from China, India, and CIS nations join the competition. The initiative expands beyond domestic boundaries to become a global convergence hub for scientific schools and solutions in healthcare.
• Strategic Partnership with MSU. On October 10, the V.P. Filatov Foundation and the Faculty of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics of Moscow State University will sign a cooperation agreement. Competition winners will gain access to MSU laboratories, engineering school internships, and participation in national and international congresses.
• IT Accelerator and Project Scaling Department. Laureates advance from scientific concept to market-ready product — with comprehensive support from experts, mentors, and partner infrastructure.

How to Apply
Applications are submitted online via the official competition portal. Applicants must register, select a nomination track, and upload a project description along with supporting documentation. The competition is open to students, clinical residents, postgraduates, and early-career researchers up to 35 years of age (up to 40 years for Doctors of Sciences).
