“MEDICINA MOLODAYA” IT Accelerator Registered with Rospatent
The V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development has received a certificate of state registration for computer software. The document was issued by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) and signed by Head of the Service Yu.S. Zubov.
The “MEDICINA MOLODAYA” IT Accelerator is a multifunctional digital platform uniting young researchers, mentors, and investors into a cohesive medical technology innovation ecosystem. The program features an educational curriculum, dedicated mentorship, and direct access to venture capital funds and angel investors. Upon completing the curriculum, graduates receive an officially recognized diploma of continuing professional education: “Master of Business Administration in Healthcare: Medical Startup Management.”
The platform was engineered in Russia, ensuring full compliance with national standards for workflow and information security while mitigating data leakage risks.
Official registration with Rospatent confirms that the software complies with all statutory requirements for computer programs, securing exclusive proprietary rights for the V.P. Filatov Foundation as sole copyright holder. This establishes a solid foundation for:
— protecting intellectual property;
— strategic partnerships with scientific and medical institutions;
— attracting investment capital and grant funding;
— product scaling and commercialization.
The formal registration of the accelerator continues an almost century-old legacy of innovation initiated by Vladimir Petrovich Filatov. In 1931, he performed the world’s first successful corneal transplantation utilizing preserved donor tissue — a breakthrough that inaugurated a new era in ophthalmology and transplantology. Today, the Foundation translates this pioneering spirit into the digital domain.
“The ‘MEDICINA MOLODAYA’ IT Accelerator is designed for a new generation of young physician-scientists to showcase their medical startups, while allowing investors to review developments and connect directly with creators through the Foundation,” says Elena A. Dibrova, President of the Filatov Foundation. “The initiative serves as a catalyst, shortening the timeline between scientific discovery and implementation in clinical healthcare.”
