Filatov Foundation IT Accelerator to Become a Unique Hub for Knowledge and Networking
The launch of a multifunctional digital service — a product of the V.P. Filatov Foundation developed with the support of the PREVENTMED Union — is scheduled for February. The IT accelerator is designed for both desktop and mobile platforms.
The platform features an extensive knowledge base in technology entrepreneurship, offers videoconferencing capabilities, and simultaneously serves as an innovation “marketplace.” Investors can explore featured medical developments much like in a digital showroom and connect with promising project teams directly through the Foundation.
Beyond digital resources, registered users will gain access to in-person events hosted by the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development and its partners. Young researchers will be able to attend live lectures, conferences, forums, and workshops, establishing valuable professional connections. The IT accelerator will serve as the digital core of the growing “MEDICINA MOLODAYA” community.
The Foundation’s new infrastructure facilitates direct communication between early-career researchers, mentors, government officials, and representatives of the medical and pharmaceutical industries.
The first cohort of IT accelerator users will comprise 13 young researchers from the project scaling (“dorashchivanie”) program and 9 award winners from the 2025 All-Russian Scientific School “MEDICINA MOLODAYA” competition.
Participants will study throughout the year, earning Master of Business Administration professional retraining diplomas upon course completion. This was announced by Alexey Veremeev, mentor of the Foundation’s project scaling program, MD, Ph.D., Advisor to the Director of the National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Russia, and Executive Director of the PREVENTMED Union.
— Our objective is to train young scientists to effectively present their projects to investors, mastering the terminology and mechanisms used in business. Over the course of the year, they will progress through various modules to enrich their projects, essentially completing a mini-MBA curriculum. We also address knowledge gaps in financial planning and marketing strategy. We will host guest speakers in dynamic formats — not dry lectures with slides, but interactive discussions and targeted Q&A sessions. A deep human understanding of business fundamentals will be the key to their future success.
Winners of the “MEDICINA MOLODAYA” competition who enter into an agreement with the organizers are eligible to join the project scaling program of the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development.
