80th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Achievements of Fundamental and Applied Medicine and Pharmacy”

On May 15, 2026, the 80th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Achievements of Fundamental and Applied Medicine and Pharmacy” commenced at Samarkand State Medical University.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Zhasur Alimdzhanovich Rizaev, MD, Professor, for the warm welcome, the high organizational level of the event, and fruitful cooperation.

On behalf of Foundation President Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Dibrova, the participants were welcomed by Foundation Director Elena Nikolaevna Kolotilo.
In the welcoming address of Ekaterina Aleksandrovna Dibrova delivered to the young scientists, key principles of the Foundation’s mission were highlighted: supporting young researchers, shortening the pathway from laboratory discovery to clinical practice, and expanding international cooperation. Over six years, the Foundation’s flagship project “MEDICINE OF THE YOUTH” has gathered 1,481 applications from 70 regions of Russia, and in 2026 it expanded internationally.

The team of the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technologies Development in Samarkand is represented by Foundation Director Elena Nikolaevna Kolotilo and Oleg Stanislavovich Glazachev, Professor of the Department of Normal Physiology at the Sklifosovsky Institute of Clinical Medicine of Sechenov University, Scientific Director of the Foundation, Doctor of Medical Sciences.

Tomorrow, an official qualifying pitch session of “MEDICINE OF THE YOUTH” for all of Central Asia will take place at Samarkand State Medical University.

This marks an important step toward creating a unified scientific space and identifying outstanding young developers of medical innovations across the region. We warmly welcome the conference participants and guests!
