Program Objectives

The objective of this supplementary professional continuing education program is the systematization and deepening of professional knowledge on the pathogenetic features of diabetic neuropathy in the setting of COVID-19. The curriculum explores the clinical potential of polypeptide therapy as both preventive and concomitant treatment for neurological complications in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Competencies Enhanced Upon Program Completion

Upon completing this program, the student enhances the following professional competency: readiness and ability to diagnose, manage, and prevent diabetic neuropathy in post-COVID-19 patients, utilizing modern biomedical and polypeptide therapies.

Knowledge Acquired During Training

Theoretical and Clinical Knowledge:

  • Pathogenesis of microvascular and neural damage in diabetes mellitus exacerbated by SARS-CoV-2 infection;
  • Mechanism of action of peptide bioregulators and polypeptide preparations in peripheral nerve regeneration;
  • Diagnostic criteria and staging of diabetic sensorimotor and autonomic neuropathy;
  • Comprehensive clinical protocols integrating metabolic control and peptide therapy.

Clinical Skills:

  • Performing focused neurological examinations and sensory testing in diabetic patients;
  • Selecting personalized peptide therapy dosages and administration routes;
  • Monitoring therapeutic response and safety profile during combined pharmacotherapy.
