Biological Age Biomarkers and Capabilities of Modern Biomedical Technologies
Duration: 18 acad. hrs
Form of study: Distance learning (part-time, without interruption from work) using distance educational technologies
Issued document: Advanced Training Certificate
Price: 6,500 RUB
Program Objectives
To provide medical professionals, physician-researchers, internists, and geriatricians with high-level professional knowledge in the physiological mechanisms of aging, etiology and pathogenesis of geriatric syndromes, advanced diagnostic methodologies, differential diagnosis, and personalized preventive and therapeutic strategies.
To facilitate the application of fundamental biological concepts in clinical practice to formulate and solve novel diagnostic challenges, determine biological age using established aging biomarkers, understand theoretical and clinical paradigms of chronic pathology, and develop targeted interventions using modern biomedical technologies to preserve physical and mental health into late adulthood.
Competencies Enhanced Upon Program Completion
Upon completing this program, the student enhances professional competencies in assessing biomarkers of biological aging, performing comprehensive geriatric assessments, and integrating biomedical geroprotective solutions into individual treatment programs.
Knowledge Acquired During Training
- Molecular, cellular, and physiological hallmarks of biological aging;
- Validated biological age biomarkers (epigenetic, metabolic, immunological, and functional);
- Mechanisms and clinical indications for peptide bioregulators and biomedical interventions in age-related diseases.
Upon Completion, the Graduate Shall Be Able To
- Calculate biological age using composite laboratory and clinical biomarker panels;
- Differentiate physiological aging from premature pathological aging;
- Design individualized multimodal therapeutic and preventive programs targeting identified aging markers.
Curriculum Outline
- Biology of aging: theories, cellular senescence, and systemic decline
- Biomarkers of aging: telomere length, DNA methylation, inflammatory markers, and metabolic profiles
- Clinical assessment of biological age in outpatient practice
- Biomedical technologies and peptide bioregulation in healthy longevity
- Final assessment
Form of Final Assessment
Final assessment is conducted as a multiple-choice test consisting of 15 questions.
To successfully pass the assessment, at least 11 correct answers (out of 15) are required.
